2008 Hunger strike leads to creation of MADJ

In 2008, four prosecutors from the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público) held a 38-day hunger strike to protest against government corruption. This action gave rise to the Movement for Dignity and Justice (MADJ), which became an important actor in the anti-mining movement in Honduras.
