2009-2012 Meetings with Industry Representatives regarding New Mining Laws
Following the election of President Lobo in 2009, meetings were held between Canadian mining company representatives and Honduran government officials 'with an eye toward writing a new general mining law' (COHA 2015). These meetings are reported to have continued over the next three years.
