2010 Public Statement by CAVS on 10 years of Complaints against Goldcorp Inc.

In October 2010, the Siria Valley Environmental Committee (CAVS) released a public statement noting that over 10 years it had filed complaints and submitted proof of crimes committed by Goldcorp Inc. through its subsidiary, Minerales Entremares de Honduras, S.A. ("Entremares"), against the right to life, health and the envrionment of those living in the Siria Valley. CAVS demanded, among other things, that the Honduran judicial system respect and protect the rights of communities affected by Entremares' operations.
