2011 Meeting with Goldcorp and Civil Society Groups on San Martín Mine Closure
On 5 May 2011, a meeting was held in Toronto, Canada between representatives of Goldcorp, Development and Peace, the Honduran Centre for the Protection of Community Development (CEHPRODEC), Catholic International Development Charity (CAFOD), and the University of Newcastle (UK) to discuss the San Martín mine closure. Among other issues, the group discussed Acid Mine Draining, water quality and pollution, and other aspects of the closure plan.
