2014 Demonstrations demanding reforms to Mining Law

In October 2014, a demonstration of 2,000 people (in which representatives of more than 50 organizations participated) presented the National Congress in Tegucigalpa with proposed reforms to the 2013 Mining Law to effectively implement obligatory community consultations in relation to mining projects.
