2020 NGOs publish report on Alternatives to Economic Development based on Metallic Mining

In April 2020, the Central American Alliance against Mining (ACAFREMIN), the Association for the Development of El Salvador (CRIPDES), the Association for Socioeconomic Development of Santa Marta (ADES) and the University of Aarhus in Denmark, published a joint report exploring alternative forms of economic development in El Salvador. The report examined the experience of Cabañas Department to explore alternatives to metallic mining and to promote sustainability and social equality.
