2018 Mesa Nacional press release warning against threat to Law Prohibiting Metallic Mining

On 3 April 2018, the National Roundtable Against Metallic Mining in El Salvador (Mesa Nacional)  issued a Press Release warning about the resurgence of the "green mining" campaign in El Salvador as a result of the increased number of seats won by the National Republic Alliance (ARENA) in the 4 March 2018 Municipal and Legislative Assembly elections. Mesa Nacional argued that the election result increased the likelihood that the Law Prohibiting Metallic Mining in El Salvador could be amended or revoked.
