2011 Members of U.S. Congress urge Guatemalan President to suspend the Marlin Mine Project
In March 2011, 15 members of the United States Congress sent a letter to the Guatemalan President expressing "'serious concern' about the mine", and urging the President to "immediately suspend operations at the Marlin mine and address the ongoing human rights, health, and environmental concerns of the indigenous communities."
