2012 Women Struggling for a New Dawn and Defending our Mother Earth (Kolol O'nan Tx'otx) are created

In 2012, two new organizations were formed by indigenous women opposing the Marlin Mine project, Women Struggling for a New Dawn and Defending our Mother Earth (Kolol O'nan Tx'otx). Around the same time, they were joined by a third organization, called Women's Pastoral. Kolol O'nan Tx'otx was "one of the main forces behind the [Latin American] Water Tribunal; it has a weekly program on the parish's radio station and works in communities through its promoters."
