2015 Campaign against voting for Legislative and Mayoral Candidates that favour mining

In January 2015, the National Roundtable Against Metallic Mining in El Salvador organized a campaign relating to the 2015 legislative and municipal mayoral elections that encouraged people not to vote for candidates who were in favour of mining. Similarly, on 18 February 2015, the Environmental Alliance of El Salvador held a public forum, called "Proposals and Positions on Environmental Issues: Candidates for deputies of the Legislative Assembly 2015-2018". Municipal and national elections were held in parallel with one another in the same year.
