2017 Permanent Demonstration established to Demand Compensation for Damages caused by the Marlin Mine
In June 2017, residents of San Miguel Ixtahuacán and Sipacapa, San Marcos established a "camp of resistance" intended to be a permanent demonstration. The protesters demanded compensation for damages caused by the Marlin Mine.
