2018 Call to Reject Proposed Law on Indigenous Consultation Procedures
In 2018, a petition was organized by the Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA) calling on the Guatemalan Congressional Labour Commission to reject a proposed law on consultation procedures for projects on or impacting indigenous territories. At the time of writing (November 2021), the draft law remained under discussion in legislative commissions.
