2020 Launch of international experts' report on origins of mining conflict in Bajo Aguán
A group of international experts (including a member of The Juridification of Resource Conflicts project) participated in a fact-finding visit to Tocoa organised by the Central American Alliance against Mining (ACAFREMIN) in June 2019 to research the origins of the mining conflict in the Bajo Aguán. As a result of their research, the group published a report and recommendations, highlighting the human rights violations that have been committed in the context of the conflict surrounding the ASP1 and ASP2 project. The report was completed in March 2020 and launched on 12 September 2020.
